Single-Story Private Residence in Areni

Project Objective The objective of this project is to create a compact, functional, and comfortable living environment in the Areni community of the Vayots Dzor region. This single-story residence is designed for a site with a slight slope, ensuring a harmonious connection with the surrounding nature while utilizing the large plot area for extensive landscaping. Architectural and Layout Solutions The house features simple and ergonomic layout solutions aimed at the daily comfort of its residents: Living Zone: The entrance platform is elevated 600 mm above ground level. The interior space includes a spacious living room and kitchen, which serve as the central hub of the home, as well as two comfortable bedrooms and a bathroom. Roof: A multi-sloped roof with an organized external drainage system is designed, giving the building a traditional yet modern architectural appearance. Architectural and Aesthetic Features Exterior Finishing: The facade design employs a combination of natural stone and modern finishing materials. The building is finished with basalt slabs and decorative plaster, ensuring both durability and aesthetic appeal. Landscape and Amenities: A significant portion of the plot, approximately 80% (892 sq. m.), is dedicated to greenery. The courtyard features sidewalks and improved zones, creating a spacious and fresh environment. Technical Specifications Surface Area: The building's footprint is 117.98 sq. m., allowing the majority of the plot to be preserved as an outdoor leisure area. Height: The maximum height of the building is 6.15 meters, ensuring the structure’s proportion is in balance with the surrounding environment.
